A group, Campaign against Corruption in the Judiciary (CCJ) on Tuesday alerted the general public over the intention of some All Progressives Congress (APC) big wigs in Osun State to comprise the outcome of the 2018 governorship primary case (Kunle Adegoke v. APC) in the state by bribing some of the presiding officers in the case.

The group in a statement on Tuesday by its secretary, Rahman Barkindo alleged that some APC big wigs will stop at nothing to compromise the judgement scheduled to be delivered by Justice Inyang Ekwo on Friday.

OSUN GOV’SHIP PRIMARY CASE ABOUT TO BE COMPROMISED

This is to alert the public about the devilish efforts of the leadership of APC to compromise the judgment in the case of Kunle Adegoke v. APC pending before Justice Inyang Ekwo of the Federal High Court, Abuja.

We are aware that judgment in the case is to be delivered on Friday 11th January 2019 but some anti-democratic elements in the leadership of APC are already carrying money around to buy the judgment. From a reliable source within the Federal High Court, We got the piece below:

“I work in the federal high court, Abuja and I get information to pass across on efforts by some APC leaders to corrupt some judges of the court in respect of some pre-election matters being handled by the judges. One crucial one is from Osun State before Justice Inyang Ekwo of the federal high court, Abuja between Kunle Adegoke v APC. It is about the governorship primary election of APC Osun State. There are efforts through the Chief Judge of the federal high court to put pressure on Justice Ekwo to rule in favour of APC. A lot of money is involve in this transaction but I don’t know if Justice Ekwo don agree or not.”

We have investigated this piece of information and we have every reason to believe it is genuine and authentic. We hereby call on his lordship, Justice Ekwo and the entire judiciary to stand firm in the sacred duty of dispensation of justice. We call on the National Judicial Council to ensure that the hallowed chamber is not further polluted by these nefarious elements to whom money is everything and who believe everybody has a price and can be purchased.

We implore all lovers of justice to stand firm in monitoring this unfortunate development to avoid a repeat of the infamy that recently rocked the judiciary.

Thank you.
