The governor of Anambra state, Chief Willie Obiano has advised his fellow south-east governors to join All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, if they want to be re-elected coming 2019 general election.

Obiano who described APGA party as hurricane that can never be stopped in the south-east by anybody, equally cleared the rumour making rounds in the media over his preparedness to run for president coming 2019 presidential election.

“I have no intention of running for President. My immediate focus is to continue working for ndi Anambra while expanding the frontiers of APGA starting with a convincing victory in the January 13, 2018 Senatorial Election, to taking over all South East States and beyond by 2019.

“What happened here on November 18 when APGA swept the entire poll in Anambra State will be replicated in Imo, Abia, Enugu, and Ebonyi states in 2019.

“APGA is a hurricane that nobody can stop in the South-east. What I am telling my brother governors in the South-east is for them to join APGA now if they wish to be re-elected; otherwise, sorry for them, they must lose their seats to APGA in 2019”, he said.

This was made known via a report obtained by newsmen from the facebook handle of the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Willie Obiano on Social Media, Mr. Ifeanyi Aniagoh.

According to the report, the historic 21-over-21 flawless victory of Gov. Obiano stirred speculation that the high performing governor of Anambra State and the National Leader of APGA was eyeing 2019 Presidential seat.

Recall that within few years of Obiano’s leadership, APGA has expanded across the country to having legislators in Bayelsa, Abia and Taraba States with serious gubernatorial impact in Abia, Nassarawa and Zamfara States as well as clinching a local government seat within the Federal Capital Territory.
