Petrolex Group, a leading energy conglomerate in Nigeria will commission the first phase of its mega Oil city at Ibefun, Ogun state on Tuesday December 12, 2017 which will decongest Apapa gridlock by 60 percent.

This way, Apapa which is home to Nigeria’s busiest Seaports and several Tank farms will be decongested. I spite of the importance of Apapa to business activities in Nigeria, government has done little or nothing to help the deplorable condition of Apapa by not providing the needed infrastructural development that will cater to the growing needs of Apapa.
Petrolex Oil city’s decongestion of Apapa will be possible because of the Oil city’s strategic location outside of Apapa. The Oil city will be easily accessible by land and waterways. Products will easily be shipped in and out through fleets of barges sailing through the river on the site. The Oil city at the moment, has 10 barges, 2 tugboats and a daughter vessel. 6 more barges and 6 more tugboats are expected, they will help in strengthening products distribution.
