The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate received 141,468 votes, defeating Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Dan’iya Manir Muhammad, who received 118,445 votes.

Prof. Ibrahim Magawata, the returning officer, announced the results after the poll was held in 185 previously cancelled polling units.
