Revered  actress, Omotola Jalade has urged  the  Federal  Government   to do something urgent about the current state of the nation, citing police brutality as the bane of the nation

She said this on her Twitter handle while expressing the “hellish” state of affairs under the watch of the president and Yemi Osinbajo, his vice.

“The country under your watch is hellish. The lack of money in circulation now coupled with the continuous assault and killings by uniformed men will make this country implode!” Omotola wrote in a tweet.

“It is unbearable! Do something! Insecurity! Fear and desperation everywhere.

Recall that Ikechukwu, popular rapper  recently expressed his rage over the manhandling of citizens by officers of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).

“For what reason is such an individual wearing the uniform of one who is supposed to protect and serve? The same person he is bludgeoning in broad daylight, boldly and so arrogantly, with slaps and insults,” Ikechukwu had said.

Earlier in April,  Banky and Adesua Etomi(his wife) decried the killing of Kolade Johson, a Lagos resident, shot dead during a police anti-robbery raid in the Mangoro area of Lagos state.

“We are tired of hearing about victims of police brutality and never hearing about the criminals being brought to justice,” Bankole Wellington, Nigerian singer and politician, wrote in a letter to the president.

“We are tired of screaming and tweeting #EndSars while our innocent people are being extorted  bullied, maimed and killed by the very same officers who are meant to protect them…Please show us that you care about us.”
