Four arrested for killing petrol station manager in Osun

Members of the Nigeria Hunters and Forest Security Service detained four individuals on Sunday who were reportedly involved in the murder of a gas station manager in Ikire, Osun State.

According to a source in Ikire who spoke under the condition of anonymity for security reasons, one of the suspects, identified only as Idris, was followed to the Ako Area of the town around 11 p.m. on Saturday before being captured by the hunters.

The source added that Idris named five additional people who were involved in the attack on the manager of the filing station named Adigun during questioning after he was detained.

“Apart from Idris, out of 5 others that he mentioned as part of the killing, 3 were arrested before daybreak on Sunday by the hunters and they were immediately handed over to the police in Ikire,” the source said.

Idris said that the victim was hit on the head with a tool during the attack on his filling station in a video tape that was captured while he was being questioned by the hunters following his arrest.

Osun state Police Command Spokesperson, Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the arrest, sayingg that “more arrests have been made. We will soon make public our findings.”
