According to reports, Salami departed Abuja on Friday, July 22, 2022, to meet up with school resumption and the driver had informed her mother that she arrived in Osogbo safely.

It was gathered that she alighted at Igbona, Osun State from the vehicle she boarded from Abuja and has not been seen or heard from ever since.

Confirming her disappearance, the Osun Police Command spokesperson, Yemis Opalola stated that the driver reported the case at Dugbe Police Station on Saturday, July 23, 2022.

According to Opalola, the driver had made sure she alighted at Igbonna before driving away.

“Hadiza’s mother called the driver to inform him that her daughter had not been seen in school and she did not get to school.

“Hadiza’s number after several calls put forward to it was being forwarded and her course mates also confirmed that she was not seen around school.

“I have asked that the photo and details of the missing girl be made available to my office so we can forward same to all media houses for notification,” the police spokesman said.

However, verified information reaching Newsclick Nigeria on Tuesday morning has it that the young undergraduate has been found.

According to a top official of the university who confided in Newsclick Nigeria, she was found in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital and the father is on his way to pick her this (Tuesday) morning.

“Hadiza is a responsible young lady. She is brilliant. In fact, she is in 2:1 going to final semester.

“She has been found in Uyo.

“The dad is on his way to pick her,” the university official told Newsclick Nigeria on Tuesday morning.

Explaining her usual routine transportation from Abuja to the school in Osogbo, the source said:
